Big boy bike
Last year for Christmas we bought Ambrose a Strider. After a couple of months of feeling it out, he really expressed interest in it, and soon became a wild man, riding around like crazy on it. His balance improved really quickly and we recently noticed that as far as his balance was concerned, he could probably ride a two wheeler. I found a 12inch used bike for 15.00, so for that price, we bought it. John put him on it, and like we thought, his balance was fine, but it was the pedaling that he couldn't get the hang of. John rigged the bike up with the training wheels lifting the back wheel up and Ambrose would pedal it...like a stationary bike (this came at the perfect time because we had 3 day straight where it rained and if this little boy doesn't get some outside time during the day, he is pinging of the walls! I would prop the door the leads to the garage, and he'd pedal in there for AGES! for some reason he LOVED it. It was fantastic, he was tiring himself out, and we weren't even leaving the house!). Any who, he gets better at pedaling and John tries him on the bike again and he quickly takes off. He's improved quickly and loves riding his big boy bike!
Zacchaeus
The sound quality isn't real great, and so you can't really hear/understand Ambrose, so here's a play by play of what he's saying...
John: People crowded the streets to see Jesus. Zacchaeus wanted to see too but he was too...
Ambrose: short
John: So he....
Ambrose: climbed up in a tree
John: Jesus walked by and he said
Ambrose: come down
John: why?
Ambrose: I'm coming to your house
John: Did these people like Zacchaeus?
Ambrose: no
John: why?
Ambrose: they don't want him to go to his house
John: Why don't these people like Zacchaeus
Ambrose: (something about going to his house)
John: is it because he took their money
Ambrose: ya
John: What did Zacchaeus tell Jesus?
Ambrose: He will give the money back
John: What did Jesus say?
ambrose: That will be a good idea

Fun on the plasma car
The plasma car has had some serious miles put on it by Ambrose, and it looks like Bram will only be adding to mileage!
I love this video of the boys! I am so blessed that Ambrose never went through that jealous phase when Bram arrived. He, for the most part, has been a sweet and kind brother, and the older and more interactive Bram gets I can see their relationship growing. Ambrose is very gentle with Bram, and Bram is always completely enthralled with Ambrose. I love it!

Bullets
you're no stranger to the bulleted catch up, so here we go
*This little guy turned 7 months ( well, back when I started this post he did, but as of today, he's 8 months).
* He's also crawling, which, Hallelujah! I've never understood those people who say "watch out, life is busier/harder when they start moving." I think those people must have been parents to children who sat quietly and played with their toys...aka, NOT my kids. The quality of life all around gets better when my kids are mobile. When they're stuck in one spot all they do is fuss, and whine about the toys that are just out of their reach. Now, rather than whine, he goes and gets the toy.
Ambrose is in the stage where he does a weird "cheese" face for every picture, and they always look completely ridiculous. So, sorry, it's either sullen teenager or crazy half smiling half yelling face.
*Which brings me to another point, IPUG might as well be some sort of weird TDY, because while he sleeps in our house, we don't actually ever SEE John right now. The work hours are like nothing else (to all of you who understood that sentence, you can totally relate).
*Getting ready for Christmas with this one has been a blast! Christmas day is going to be so much fun this year, I can't wait!
*NM weather is doing its part to get us in the Christmas spirit, and has dumped some snow on us recently. NM winters are my kind of winters. It's snows occasionally, just enough to snap some pictures, dust the mountains out my back door and play in for a little bit, but then the sun comes out, warms everything up and we put away our winter jackets and head out to the park to play the next day in sweatshirts.

Going to bed instead

When it comes to the blog, lately, this is how I've felt. I know I have so much to catchup on, it's totally overwhelming. I'm working on a post, don't give up on me yet!
